Golden girl Jennifer Lawrence steals show at The Hunger Games premiere... while Miley Cyrus plays best supporting girlfriend

It has already been hailed as the next Twilight, and the release of The Hunger Games is set to see its leading lady Jennifer Lawrence become a household name.
The rising star certainly seemed ready for the challenge and stole the spotlight when she showed up at the premiere of the movie in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old turned heads as she walked the red carpet in a shimmering metallic gold gown by Prabal Gurung, with cut-out sides and a train.

But the actress admitted as she was interviewed by Yahoo Movies that she had to think twice about taking on the starring role of Katniss, as she knew it would mean sacrificing her private life.She said: ‘I’m glad I took the role but I was absolutely right about the privacy. It infuriates me but I’ve got to realise this is my new life.’
She added that people have started to suck up to her as she said: ‘That’s always the nice thing, that all the people who used to ignore me are now kissing my a**.’

Meanwhile Miley Cyrus took on a supporting role as she showed up to support her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, who plays one of the male leads in the movie.
She displayed her figure in a black beaded bralet and matching maxiskirt, topped off with sky high shoes.
The 19-year-old actress and singer sweetly said: ‘They’re my highest ones, they’re my Liam shoes.’

She was clearly thrilled for her beau’s success as she said: ‘I think it’s just so amazing to have all these fans out here and see how excited they are for him and how excited I am for him.’
She added that she had given him some advice about the fame game as she said: ‘I’m really excited. I think just to always remember who was there for you before any of this mattered, I think that is really important.’
All of the stars of the drama film, which is an adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel of the same name, were out in force and Josh Hutcherson, who plays a male lead alongside Liam, spoke animatedly of his excitement.

He said: ‘I literally wanted this more than anything I’ve wanted in my whole life. The books mean the world to me.’
Of learning he had landed the role, he said: ‘I was speechless. Words literally wouldn’t come out.’
Meanwhile Elizabeth Banks wore a plastic asymmetric orange minidress and said: ‘I was inspired by Effie Trinket, the character I play in the movie.’

While the various cast members gushed about their delight to be at the opening of their movie, with Alexander Ludwig saying, ‘It’s definitely the coolest experience I’ve had in my entire life,’ veteran actor Donald Sutherland was more concerned about praising Jennifer’s efforts.
He said: ‘I think it’s absolutely fantastic. It’s brilliant. Jennifer is breath-taking. She’s as good an actor as anyone.’
Reality stars Kendall and Kylie Jenner were also on the red carpet and Kylie said of the suggestion they should have their own spin-off show: ‘I feel like we definitely should have one. We haven’t really talked to anyone about it.’

After the comparisons to Twilight, Jennifer Lawrence says she sent an email to Kristin Stewart because she had read false comments that she had apparently made about the movie star.
And Kristin quickly got back to say there were no hard feelings.
She told Access Hollywood: 'She wrote me back, and she was like, "It’s fine. Welcome to the world where everything you say gets turned into [something it’s not]". So, she understood.'
The Hunger Games is set in a future where teenagers are selected to fight to the death on live television, and will be released worldwide on March 23.
