Just call me... Cheryl: Miss Cole finally drops Ashley's name (for her music career)

She's aiming to be as big as star as Rihanna and Beyonce - and now it seems that Cheryl Cole is finally ready to put her failed marriage behind her.
The singer is reportedly dropping the name Cole - and like the music world's biggest stars, will simply be known by her first name - Cheryl.
However, she's not actually removing the name legally. But it is still something of a statement, and further confirms that she has moved on from serial cheat Ashley.

'She’s in a really good place at the moment and wants to take life by the balls.

Cheryl's maiden name, familiar to some fans from her early Girls Aloud days, is Tweedy.
Cheryl never ditched her marital surname even after separating from Chelsea and England star Ashley last year.

And she's already started work on claiming her place back in the charts as she filmed a new video in Los Angeles last week for song Call My Name.
It seems the former X Factor judge is keen to take on Rihanna and co as she was seen gyrating in a pair of leopard skin hotpants with a floral print crop top.
Cheryl has been celebrating her return to a curvier figure having dropped to a tiny size six after battling malaria in 2010.
She also struggled to maintain her weight throughout her marital troubles with Ashley, the stress of which also took its toll on her already slender figure.
