Shut up Paris and Milan - The Only Way Is Essex! Amy Childs opens the county's Fashion Week with her clothing collection
By Georgina Littlejohn|
If the recent collections from Paris, London and Milan during their fashion weeks blew die-hard clothes horses away, then they may want to take a trip to one of our beloved Home Counties.
Because yesterday, it wasn't about the Chanels, Diors, Largerfelds and Givencys of the world, but a pretty redhead we know and love called Amy Childs.
And so who else to kick start Essex Fashion Week than the 21-year-old as she took to the catwalk to show off her latest clothing collection.
Mellow yellow: Amy Childs looked stunning in a lemon dress as she showed off her new collection at Essex Fashion Week yesterday
And just like when she debuted the collection in Camden, north London last month, Amy stunned the audience as she joined her models to show off her designs on the runaway.
And she looked in her element as she strutted along in some of her creations which included a bright yellow dress and a sparkly playsuit.
Vajazzling! Amy wore a strapless white tutu style dress from her collection as well as a cute silver playsuit
She also showed off a strapless white dress with a ballerina style tutu skirt and another outfit which consisted of a stripey skirt and polka dot top.
And in true Essex style, she then came out in an outfit which had taken inspiration from one of the well known catchphrases from her former reality TV show.
She wore a pair of pink and leopard print leggings, with a white T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan Well Jel.
Sexy and fun: Amy strutted out onto the catwalk in a stripey skirt and polka dot top before changing into a cute outfit with her trademark slogan emblazoned on the top
Bit breezy! Amy got caught in a gust of wind as she arrived at the event in a studded black dress
Cheering her on from the front row was her cousin Harry Derbidge, who took to his Twitter page to announce how excited he was to be there.
And Amy too had a good day as she posted on her wall on the social networking site: 'Had the best day at #essexfashionweek everyone loved my collection xxx'
Touch-up: Amy made sure her make-up was immaculate as she took her seat at the beginning of the day
'I hope that everyone loves them as much as I do.'
Support: Amy was joined by her cousin Harry Derbidge who cheered her on from the front row
