She's become the queen of the skate offs and tonight the magic ran out completely for Dancing On Ice contestant Chemmy Alcott.

The professional skier was voted off the ITV1 show as she narrowly missed entering the semi-finals next week during the circus-themed challenge.

And while her magic act impressed the judges, it was Chico's Strong Man skills which won him a place in the penultimate contest.

This week proved a magical one for the Dancing On Ice contestants as they were asked to dance with a set of Big Top props for Circus Week.

The show saw the stars don various outfits as they acted out their routines while having to incorporate a number of props 'seamlessly' into their dances.

Chemmy was the first to take to the ice as she wore her sparkly silver leotard and top hat.

Incorporating a hanky, bunting, a cane, rope and flowers, the sports woman ensured she stuck with the prop theme.

Head judge Robin Cousins applauded her efforts, but it was ultimately down to him to seal her fate in the results show.

Chico and Chemmy were put in the bottom two by the public and forced to carry out their routines again.

All three judges conceded it was a difficult decision to make, with Katarina Witt voting to save Chemmy and Louie Spence opting to keep in Chico.

As head judge, Robin made the final call, and revealed it was the former X Factor contestant who had given him the special 'spark'.

But although Chemmy admitted she was 'gutted' to be leaving, she was pleased with her time on the series.

And as she is still recuperating after hurting her leg in a ski accident last year, she is happy the show has helped her get her strength and confidence back.

She added: 'This time last year I was on crutches and couldn't walk and now I can do this.'

During the live show earlier in the evening it was Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden who roared his way to the top of the leader board.

The soap star turned himself into a lion tamer, while his partner Nina Ulanova was his lion as they skated around the rink.

Matthew had to use a hoop and a whip in his routine, but during rehearsals he struggled with the latter as he tried to pop a balloon.

But on the night he was ecstatic as he carried out the move perfectly, while he likened himself to Indiana Jones.

He said: 'I'll be honest, I do feel like Indiana Jones, I've got whip marks.' And he revealed TV bosses had to extend his music in case he failed to pop the balloon with his whip in the live show as it took him three times on previous practices.

But the judges were left stunned, giving him a total of 28 marks after completing the task to cheers from the crowd.

It was clearly a good week for the actor, who is emerging as one of the favourites to take the crown as they await who will make it into the semi-final next week.

But other favourite, Jorgie Porter didn't have such a good week as she used a pink silk ribbon as her prop.

Christopher Dean labelled the routine 'amazing', while head judge Robin Cousins called it 'beautiful'.

But it initially appeared Jorgie had hit a bum note with the panel, as Robin's score came up as 5.5, while Louie Spence's was 6.5.

Robin immediately complained about a technical fault, insisting he meant to put 8.5 in instead, but Louis jumped right into the lion's mouth by proclaiming: 'Mine's right! It was emotionless for me.'

The dancer slated Jorgie's efforts, which were met by boos from the crowd who disagreed with the mark.

And she clearly had done enough to be saved as she was the final celebrity kept in for the semi-final.

It was also a good week for Chico, despite falling into the bottom two in the live results show.

This week he opted to put clothes on as he channeled a strong man, using dumb bells and a bar bell as he twisted and turned across the ice.

Jennifer Ellison was last to take the rink as she dressed as a clown with her partner Daniel Whiston.

They performed a popular and fun act as they used suitcases, a balloon, a bucket and a flower which squirts water to entertain the crowd.

But in rehearsals she was left fearing she would hurt Daniel as she was required to step on his stomach with her skate at one point.

Although she needn't have worried as she effortlessly finished the routine with the manoeuvre, totalling 24.5 marks in the end.

And she looked ecstatic as she was the first star to realise she would be performing again next week.

But they will have a lot of work to do as they will e taking part in the Ultimate Skills Test during the semi finals.

They are required to carry out 23 skills in the space of one minute as they take to the ice on their own without their partners.

They may have won X Factor but Little Mix are no-ones puppets - although onstage they could be forgiven for looking like they were on strings.

In fact the five piece are wowing crowds with their performances on the X Factor tour, reaching dizzying heights with their flying performance.

As the tour reached London's Wembley Arena, crowds of more than 12,000 flocked to the capital to see if Little Mix were as good in the flash.

And Jade Thirlwall, 18, Perrie Edwards, also 18, Jesy Nelson, 20, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 19, did not disappoint.

The crowd reportedly screamed the house down as the X Factor winners came onstage.

Like true stars, the girls had several costume changes going from trainers to skirts - even as they hoisted above crowds.
