As Kelly Brook shows off her assets today... we chart the upward curve of her career

For somebody better known for the size of something other than her IQ, Kelly Brook has not done too badly for herself. Earlier this week her ex-boyfriend Matthew Morrison had to deny that he’d very ungallantly said she was ‘not the brightest bulb.’
Whatever the truth about Kelly’s intellect there’s no doubt that, when it comes to earning money, she’s far from low watt. Over the past 15 years the 32-year-old model from Kent has amassed a £3.2million fortune and stayed in the public eye by doing nothing more taxing than showing off her figure.
Here we chart the upward curve of Kelly’s career...
1. Fresh from the Italia Conti stage school an 18-year-old Kelly’s talents earn her a lingerie campaign for Playtex in June 1997. This is the start of her underwear modelling career.
2. A girl who takes her clothes off as often as Kelly does shouldn’t step out without sunscreen on - here she is advertising Piz Buin lotion in June 1998.
3. If you had to promote a product what better that an E-cup model in a fitted bra and leather trousers? Here Kelly fronts the Littlewoods fashion show with Melinda Messenger.
4. In August 1999 lingerie company Triumph decide that Kelly needs a huge billboard to match her huge..personality. Here she is promoting the worlds’s biggest bra poster.
5. Bored with modelling, Kelly branches out in November 2000 by appearing in a play called Eye Contact where she draws on all her acting skills - to play a girl in a bra.
6. In June 2001 Kelly’s then boyfriend Jason Statham took her to the premiere of his movie Snatch. On the red carpet all eyes were not on him.
7. Kelly’s now got a Hollywood boyfriend, actor Billy Zane, and in June 2006, the lovebirds star together in a thriller called Three, in which she spends much of her time in a bikini.
8. Kelly launches her own perfume for Superdrug in October 2007 in an eye-catching pink dress. She calls the perfume Vivacious - ‘Shrinking Violet’ was never an option.
9.It’s September 2008 and Kelly’s on stage again in the West End comedy Fat Pig – you’ll never guess what the costume department pulled out for her to wear...
10. Iced buns were sent when Kelly joined the cast of the West End show Calendar Girls in December 2009. The original promo poster was scrapped as it left too little to the imagination.
11. Forget traffic stopping, Kelly’s lucky she didn’t cause a pile-up in March 2010 with this poster where she appears naked to advertise a fitness shoe.
12. In a bid to prove herself as an actress, in August 2010, Kelly takes a role in Piranha 3D in which she played a marine biologist. Only joking - she played a girl in a bikini.
13. Kelly is paid a reported £1.2 million to be the ‘face’ of Lynx deodorant in February 2011. Yes, they really do expect us to believe Kelly was hired for her face.
14. What beauty queen doesn’t want to do her bit for charity? In September 2011 a kindly Kelly boosts the profile of animal right’s campaigners PETA the only way she knows how...
15. New Look? Hardly. In November 2011 Kelly goes back to her roots (not to mention her bra and knickers) by modelling for the High Street store.
