She may have failed to beat Matthew Wolfenden in the final hurdle on Dancing On Ice last night, but Jorgie Porter is seeing the ITV talent show as a stepping stone for much bigger things.

Hollyoaks star Jorgie has revealed she is hoping to move to Los Angeles and make a name for herself in Hollywood.

The pretty 24-year-old blonde added she doesn't know how long she will continue as Theresa McQueen in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

She said: 'Hollyoaks won't last for ever and you never know about the future.

'I would like to give Hollywood a go at some point. After all I would like to live in a hot country.'

Jorgie has been written out of Hollyoaks temporarily to give her time to take part in the Dancing On Ice tour, which begins in April.

It remains to be seen, however, if Jorgie would follow in the footsteps of former EastEnders actress Michelle Ryan, who made a name for herself Stateside in The Bionic Woman.

Or she could go the same way as former Emmerdale actress Adele Silva, who was spotted working as a shop assistant in the Melrose Avenue Ted Baker store last year.

After the pictures emerged, Silva told the Daily Mail at the time: 'I'm a jobbing actress and in this climate you can either sell your soul or do an honest day's work.'

Jorgie and her skating partner Matt Evers last night missed out on the Dancing On Ice crown to former Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden in the final of the show.

After the announcement, Jorgie could barely speak as she choked on tears, but managed to say: 'I'm so happy for them.'
