People are usually coerced into exercise, to keep those muffin tops at bay.
But Keeley Hawes has been banned from going to the gym by her partner.
Husband Matthew Macfadyen has ordered the Upstairs Downstairs actress to stay away from the weights and running machines as she's 'too muscly'.
Muscly? Keeley Hawes, pictured at the Prince's Trust & L'Oreal Paris Celebrate Success Awards in London last week, has been banned from the gym
Keeley, 36, told The Telegraph: 'I asked him if I should go to the gym and he said, "Everyone could be a little bit more toned."
'I thought, "Thank you very much!" I expected him to say, "Of course not, my darling, you look perfect the way you are."'
Yet Matthew was soon eating his words, stopping his wife from working out.
Keeley added: 'I did go to the gym for two weeks, but then Matthew said I had to stop as I was looking too muscly.'
Gorging: Was this snapshot last May the image that led Keeley to the gym?

Hawes also has a son Myles with cartoonist Spencer McCallum, whom she was married to for just eight weeks before running off with Matthew.
It seems Matthew, 37, may be a little controlling when it comes to how his wife looks.
During an interview with The Mirror last year, Keeley revealed she isn't quite as glamorous as some of the other mothers on the school run.
Controlling? Husband Matthew Macfadyen seems rather vocal when it comes to telling Keeley how she looks
She said: 'The other day I was taking the kids to school when, just as I was leaving the house, Matthew shouted, "You’re not going out like that?"
'He joked that I looked like I was going into hospital for an operation.
'I had to admit I looked rather appalling and I frantically started brushing my hair... I’m certainly not one of those yummy mummies like Claudia Schiffer on the school run. Quite the opposite.'
Keeley also revealed she was put off Botox for life after having seen it 'go wrong' on other people.
